'Tyler Perry The Oval' Recap: Season 3 Premiere Episode 1

It’s the third season of The Oval and Tyler Perry is coming in with the big guns with tonight’s premiere. First, let’s kick off with the attempted attack on the Franklins.

Hunter and Victoria were taken into the Oval unharmed after the shooting. For a second I thought Sam would have begun expressively checking on Victoria to know if she is alright but he kept his cool, rushed in, and asked if she was okay before asking the president.

Even in that moment of a near-death situation, Victoria still found a way to dish out more homophobic slurs at Don making Hunter defend the Chief of Staff, Donald is not gay. Well seeing as Hunter runs the country so cluelessly, there is no way he would decipher Don’s sexually.

Sam managed to get Victoria to obey him, something not even Hunter can boast of and she did not hesitate to rob Sam’s penis size at both Hunter and Don, something they both do not have.

We are definitely going to have more bodies this season. One of the secret service agents died trying to save the president but that’s not the big picture. Hunter asked Don to kill Victoria’s father, he believes he was the one that tried to kill him after the phone call in the beast.

Don tried to get him to let the old man die peacefully, he is already dying but Hunter’s ego is at stake here. He made an attempt on the life of the President of the United States, he will be needing that snipper. I know Donald wouldn’t be granting that request, if Victoria’s father dies, the whole administration falls apart.

In the last season of the Oval, we got to meet a new cast member Dale and also might have to say goodbye to Dale after the hit Don placed on Dale solely out of jealousy went through. Kareem and Sharon found him at the store when they came to get Sharon’s bag.

Kyle and Don might be having a major fallout this season and Lily might be the payback for Dale. Kyle was really hurt when he realized what Don had done to Dale, something Don was the least bothered about it. In fact, he robbed it in Kyle’s face because he can do next to nothing about him trying to kill Dale.

Speaking of Sharon and Kareem, Sharon gave him his ring back because she isn’t ready to marry him and doesn’t think he is ready to. She also loves Barry so she would be needing time to process her feelings. Now I might not be so comfortable with Barry and Sharon’s relationship but Kareem is one manipulative guy that is quite smooth with his act.

All the while Hunter thought his father-in-law was behind the hit, I thought Bobby might have flown to the White House to take a shot at the president, I mean he is quite resourceful.

Bobby wasn’t the shooter, he told Max and Blakely he heard the attack on his way to carry out the job.

Priscilla finally told Nancy who Sam had the affair with, the First Lady of the United States. Nancy couldn’t believe it, why would she, nobody ever tells her anything that is going on at the White House. Priscilla was more than certain this time that she is getting a divorce from Sam.

Meanwhile, Sam was at the White House refusing Victoria’s second invite to have sex with her. She still makes him hard on but Sam stood this ground tonight, he loves his wife and they would not be having sex again. I hope that lasts very long because Victoria can be very persuasive when she wants something.

Richard and Nancy might find a way to fix their marriage this season because Nancy isn’t ready to back down. First Richard got through to Barry, he got him to come home after his failed attempt to rescue Kelly from the cult.

Then he had to face his wife. Richard would rather not talk to her let alone have Nancy in the house but she is well too persistent, she fixed his clothing for work and even went on to make him lunch and dinner.

Unlike Richard's previous zero tolerance for Nancy, this time he listened since she would not give up on him or their marriage.

One character that always leaves us creeped out is Jason, if he is not decapitating a victim he is masturbating in front of one of the staff to shock people as he calls it.

Tonight he had his moment with Agent Alonso in the blue room. While trying to keep Jason safe, he took the opportunity to creep Alonso out but masturbating before him then going as far as touching his face with his hand.

Alonso took all he could to withstand the sight but had a talk with Sam about it. He needs to be taken off Jason’s detail immediately or the next time he does this to him, Alonso might forget his duty and break his jaw. Sam will definitely look into it.
