'Run The World' Recap: Season 1 Episode 3

In this week's episode of Run the World, the guys hung out at a bar to watch the game. Ola and Jason were already having drinks when Anderson a.k.a Satan showed up. Even the guys know the ladies call Anderson satan.

Another guy briefly showed up in the mix, Chris, the community penis Whitney slept with. Sports and women are one of the things that bring men together, Chris was hanging at the bar when he and the guys noticed what they called a fine butt walk past them. 

While Jason is in a bitter fit after his failed marriage with Renee, Anderson might be getting another chance to hook up with Ella, it is her birthday and the girls are going to a karaoke bar. Ola suggested he comes, if Ella hates him this much she still has feelings for him he said.

The birthday girl doesn't seem to be having an exciting day this morning, I guess 32 feels old. Ella ran into Brian at a movie interview after their failed sexual encounter, they completely brush it off, Brian was embarrassed but Ella made sure not to make it awkward for him.

After being the last journalist to interview the actress, Ella had a life-changing conversation with guess star Lifenesh Hadera about freezing eggs and black women taking charge of their bodies. 

Ella took the conversation with her girls at the spa, she feels old and is about having anxiety about getting old. Whitney on the other hand might have gotten over her cold feet in marrying Ola but she is not about to start having children.

In fact, talks about kids and buns in the oven are a turn-off for Whitney. Ola was trying to get her in the mood by telling her their little ones are crying to be fertilized inside her. Whitney was having the opposite of a turn-on, she had to make Ola retract even though she hasn't told him how she feels.

Renee isn't here for the whole talk about children, she is not having children and does not feel old. For someone that was dramatically crying and rolling on the floor after her failed marriage in last week's episode of Run the World she is unbothered going through with her divorce. Renee has her eyes on a new position at her office, divorcing Jason is the least of her troubles. 

What do women want? you asked to be discrete yet feel ignored when your man walks right past you without as much as a glance, yap! the case of Sondi.

Unlike Sondi, Matthew is willing to disclose the extent of their relationship with the school but Sondi isn't ready for that step, it changes everything. She believes it will lead to people thinking she is sleeping with her thesis advisor to upgrade herself and they will overlook her achievements and credit it all to him.

However, she still invited him as her date to Ella's birthday party tonight, I guess Sondi is taking baby steps till she can give up her life for him.

At Ella's karaoke party, Barb in her old fashion way took over the mic since the girls were running late. Whitney and Ola showed up in a Kelly Rowland and Nelly drip singing dilemma as their duet. 

Renee came all by herself but invited Chris (David J. Cork) since she has slept with him once, she can go ahead to do it again, it would be the perfect do-over. Whitney became anxious the moment she saw him, she dragged Ella out to the hall to tell her she slept with the same community penis she told her about.

Meanwhile, Chris tried to get her to talk to him but Whitney first acted like she couldn't remember is his name but went on to tell him what happened that night never happened, he should speak of it. Chris got the drift when Ola kept singing to Whitney and she went on stage to kiss her man. That was the end of Renee's date.

We finally got to know the reason why the girls call Anderson satan in tonight's Run the World. Anderson showed up at the party at the exact time Ella was getting emotional and singing about broken hearts. 

You would think the moment he walked in, he would be kicked out by both Renee and Whitney but no, that didn't happen, Anderson had dinner with Ella. He called in a last-minute reservation for her so they could talk.

Anderson left her with barely any warning to go to South Africa for a job when she was just dropped by her publisher and she really needed him. It's the plot twist for me, you would think Anderson was a chronic cheat or an abuser to have been tagged devil. If there is anything about the girls, is their unique sense of humor.

This time Anderson says he came back for her after staying two years away, he is back to make it up to her. Is this what he thinks she wants to hear or Anderson really means those words?
