'30 Coins' Recap: Season 1 Finale Episode 8

Motherland Fort Salem Recap Season 2 Episode 3

There is a reason why everyone doesn’t trust Alder, in last week’s episode of Motherland Fort Salem when Penelope said the reason why her father doesn’t trust Alder is that she has lived more than 300 years.

Someone that has lived that long does not care about regular people, that might be true. They keep looking for ways to stay alive, this might be the reason behind the biddies.

In motherland fort Salem this week, Alder used her powers just like she did last season, to get the President to sign a bill that would cause national worry.

Alder and Petra presented the president with a bill to get all young girls tested to know if they are witches so they can join the army.

Madam president had given her word to the Vice President that she would not sign the bill but Alder and her biddies used their mind control to get her to do their bidding. The president suddenly changed her mind and would not listen to any other reason, she signed the bill.

It is really great to see someone kick Alder and her biddies out of her office and she obeyed because Martriach does not answer to her.

The matriarch is in Fort Salem because it is the matrimonial season and the witches have to narrow down their choices on who they would carry on their line with.

In a briefing with Petra and Alder concerning the longevity of her bloodline, Alder tried to get Martriach to know her place and whose presence she is before but Martriach had no intention of watering her ego, she told her to get out of her office.

Unlike in the last season of Motherland Fort Salem where the girls had to work together, they now have individual activities that we only get to see them together when Abigail is throwing a water splash at Raelle or the general is addressing them.

Raelle met with Izadora to try and awaken the muscilian again. The trials kept leading to nothing until Raelle spoke with the mushroom to get her attention.

Izadora had called the trials for today off but Raelle stayed back, she needs to show her why she chose to give her this.

The muscilian responded, it gave her the image from the night Scylla showed Abigail how to use the dead seed in last year’s motherland fort Salem.

While practicing the sound, the mushroom as Raelle loosely calls it came alive, it nearly strangled Raelle to death had Izadora not come to save her.

War college has been nothing but a nightmare for Abigail, she isn’t sharing Alder’s dreams like Tally is doing neither can she create the phenomenon that Raelle did and now she has been tasked to find a mate to carry on her bloodline without the chance to choose who the person would be.

Matriarch had put her with Gregorio and Abigail was the least happy about it. Matriarch already knows about her relationship with Adil and does not approve of him as a mate because he is not in the army, the bellweather line has a lot to offer the army in a time of war.

On the bright side, Raelle and Tally are not in control of what they are doing so Abigail eased up on them a little bit.

After her last encounter with the mushroom, Raelle suddenly knows how to speak Mother Tongue something she has been finding hard to do.

She stood up to Matriach when she tried to talk to her about matrimony and her mother’s choices. Raelle is not interested in being with a man, she put Matriach in her place after she called her an insolent child.

Raelle spoke the language back, she is speaking to an insolent child who has all the powers she will ever know, you mothballed old sea hag. This sounded like Daenerys speaking Dothraki in Game of Thrones.

Meanwhile, Anacostia and Scylla continue their fren-nemies relationship as they find the Camerias. While having drinks at Shane’s house, Bonnie told them she had to tell their daughter to stay away from Tiffany because they found out she is a witch.

Apparently, the movement has a means of testing people to know if they are witches, sounds Camarie to me. While they were talking, Jack the guy with Shane at the bar came in, he and Shane had a private discussion but Anacostia and Scylla followed him when he left the house.

They followed Jack through four schools he had stopped by. The fourth was the one Scylla went in to find out what he was doing.

Through the school’s nurse, they had been testing girls to know if they are witches and intend to test more girls.

There is a lot of testing going around in this week’s Motherland Fort Salem, Raelle was taken out of base to do more tests since the muscilian had taken over her vocal lyrics hence the reason why she can speak mother tongue.

Abigail decided on another part for herself, rather than find a male to have a child with, Abigail opted to make a name for herself. She would be like her ancestor that fought one of the greatest wars in their history.

Tally, on the other hand, keeps seeing things, during combat practice today, she saw a bloody knife with no cuts on herself or M. We all know Tally not to get bothered by things like this, she is the only one of the girls that went for the matrimonial ball.

Tally found her truth at the ball, while one of the guys at the ball was talking to her, Tally had a memory of what happened to Nicka, the redacted solder in Alder’s memory.
Alder stole her work and killed lots of people which she told her had to be done.

Raelle on the other hand is the perfect weapon the army needs, she had to display in the presence of the Vice President and other generals from the Hague. Now they know the kind of power they have in their arsenal with what Raelle can do.

Abigail on the other hand did not come home last night, in her bid to show the world what she can do, Abigail decided to cause a storm, one that almost cost her life if Adil had not shown up.

The power from her magic stressed her organs to the point she was bleeding from her mouth and nose.

This is not a war the Army would fight alone, Scylla was almost captured by Jack when she followed him again but Anacostia attacked him from behind. They are definitely working as a team.
