'Sistas' Recap: Season 2 Episode 2

Episode 2 of Sistas also aired right after 1, we got two hours long premiere of the show. At Andi's house, Karen tries to get Andi to calm down while Josh supervises his agents with the search. Andi tries to get into the house again but Karen stops her, she has to calm down so they don’t arrest her. While Andi is trying to explain Gary is the reason for all of this, Danni comes to the house. She immediately gets shaken up when she sees the police. Danni needs her gas money, she had her driving for hours and her car missing alignment. Karen makes Danni understand now is not the right time, they should go to her house.

Josh went to Andi’s office with a warrant and Fatima used her sappy story about being fired to get him to wait at the front desk. She immediately went to one office took out a hard drive before going to Andi’s office to exchange the other hard drive with Andi’s then took some files from her table. Back in season 1, Fatima kept helping Andi even when she did not need it hopefully, it is the case in this season with the stolen files and switched hard drive.

On the ride to Danni’s Andi tells Karen what is going on, Gary was embezzling money from his firm and she had no idea about it. The Feds are taking all her things because he asked her to move money into her account so he could hide it from his wife. To avoid going to jail and get her things back Karen suggests she gets a lawyer. Andi knows one but she doesn’t have her phone, she doesn’t have anything.
Instead of going to Danni’s house like they agreed Andi says they should go to Sabrina’s and Danni cannot be sensitive about the change now.  There seems to be a lot of sidelining towards Danni, she was right to have voiced out how she felt in Season 1 about the everyone treating her like the bottom of the group.

Sabrina is sent home early by her boss India because of the wire transfer she authorized without following due process. Her boss wouldn’t tell her why the FBI would want to speak with her rather she makes her go home without her keycard and work ID, she would call her. This is the simplest way to yell 'You are fired' to a staff you don't want to let go off but you have to.

Danni has a mini bar in her bag when they get to Sabrina’s and Andi would take anything right now so she downs the whole bottle of vodka and is about heading for another miniature bottle when Karen takes it from her. Sabrina returns home sad, she got sent home for signing and receiving a wire transfer for her friend.
Andi has some explaining to do to the girls, Gary got arrested for embezzlement and now they freeze her account because she allowed him to wire the money to her. Sabrina cannot believe she is about to lose her job for Gary.

Danni has to voice out every thought in her head like suggesting Andi was in it with Gary with the house and expensive car.

Karen has been holding the fort, they would all figure things out together but hasn’t been paying attention to the bloodstain on her pants. Danni is the only one that noticed, what is going on Karen?
It’s Karen’s time to explain to the girls what happened, Aaron’s ex-wife’s brother came to the house to kill her, he stabbed Zac but she shot him. Karen tried to void herself from blame in all of this but thanks to Danni she can’t escape. Danni reminds her she was having a thing with Aaron while he was trying to get a divorce from his wife when Karen says she did nothing to the woman.

Karen brings up Bryn the 65years old married man Danni had an affair with to get her to stop talking about other people’s issues.

When Andi goes in to use Sabrina’s laptop to contact someone that can help, Danni has to voice the last question in her head, how much money was in that account? Sabrina wouldn't tell the girls but gives in because Danni wouldn’t stop asking, it was over 14million dollars. Both Danni and Karen can’t believe this, Danni says she is going to jail, she knew it.

Andi called Fatima to help her get in touch with Mike the Tax attorney, Fatima had already been trying to reach her the FBI is in her office going through her things. Andi says she did nothing wrong but Fatima knows that she still would not say anything to them, she already cleared out her personal things like the letters she wrote to Gary and her hard drive. Instead of Mike, Fatima suggests she calls Hayden he also works in the firm and really good.

'What does it even mean you don’t mean for this to happen while being the only reason this is happening' is the best line Zac had said throughout Sistas, asking Aaron when he came to Karen’s house while he was cleaning his blood from the floor. But the smart talk doesn’t last for long because Zac asked Aaron to call Karen himself and not ask him to tell her he came by.

Zac had to ask Aaron how is it that he keeps coming without informing Karen first? Aaron makes the conversation about how has what and who has nothing, he knows it is hard for him, he doesn’t really have a nice job and can’t help her with the bills. Zac is not ready for a pep talk from him and Aaron says he doesn’t mean that he did not mean to insult yet he is still insulting him, he did not mean for all of this to happen yet everybody dies all because of him. Everything he does is wrong, he has him cleaning off his blood in his ex-girlfriend’s house wearing pink gloves. Zac can never miss a moment to act like a boy.

Zack can’t be serious over anything, one minute he is calling Aaron out for causing all of this the next minute he needs to hitch a ride with Aaron so they can take clothes to Sabrina’s house for Karen since Aaron is now the boyfriend.

Fatima goes to Hayden to help her boss and she is not taking no for an answer, she is one of the few black people that work in the firm. Hayden wouldn’t want to get involved with all of this, Andi seems too hot right now, he saw the FBI coming in and out of her office.
Fatima has something on Hayden but she wouldn’t use that rather she threatened to call her mother if he doesn’t help her, he knows her mum and his mum go to the same church. Hayden gives in and Fatima hands him the address.
Calvin goes to see Maurice at home after he was discharged from the hospital. Maurice knows Calvin isn’t interested in guys but Morris would still flirt when he gets the chance, asking him to give him his candy so he can suck on. Calvin thought Maurice wasn’t feeling better but that’s never the case with Maurice, no one is ever going to take his joy. Maurice even asked for Calvin’s living dad’s number.

Danni perceived her perfume on Sabrina’s couch and thinks she has been wearing her perfume but it was Calvin’s. Danni has to talk about him wearing feminine perfume, the red panties, and the vibrator. Sabrina defends Calvin, she isn’t judging him anymore not after what happened with Maurice, she really likes him and he now wears underwear for her besides he told her he loves her today. Both Danni and Karen are paying attention now. Sabrina likes Calvin a lot but she does not need to say anything about loving him back right now.

While Andi is trying to get up to speed with Sabrina’s life, Karen asked her if she talked to the lawyer yet? Andi did and also remembered the files that showed Gary was being set up by Jasmine and her lawyer, it was in her house and it could help. Andi calls Fatima to get in touch with Leslie, she is sure she has a copy.

With that sorted out, Danni has another question that the girls think would be bad but Andi lets her ask it anyway. Why was she In Alabama? Sabrina was right, Andi did regret allowing Danni ask but Karen and Sabrina are happy she asked, they had no idea. Andi informs them Gary took her there to get a house, his wife told her he is an isolator and she is probably seeing that now.

Danni keeps up with the side comments and Karen needs her to help them by going home, they are all going through something right now if she can’t turn it down then she should go home. Danni apologizes, all the weed and alcohol is messing with her head but it’s not just that, Danni has always been the blunt one in the group, always calling it as she sees it.

Gary calls Karen to talk to Andi but the girls would not put her on the phone even more so when Gary mentions his first wife, claiming he is innocent and his ex-wife is trying to set him up. Karen put Danni on the phone while Andi kept begging to talk to Gary. Danni cursed out the life out of Gary for being a lying, trifling ass man. When the girls begin to fight over the phone, Gary hears Andi’s voice, he loves her and she should speak to his lawyer, he is telling the truth. When a man you just caught lying starts a statement with I love you to try getting you to forgive him, then he never loved you just trying to manipulate you to forgive him.

Danni has had enough of this stupidity, they about to go to jail and Andi is still defending Gary. While she is about to leave, more stupidity shows up at the door, it is Aaron and Zack standing side by side so Danni decides to stay back, Karen is for you.
