Today in Halita. Halita hugged everyone after the party. Ladi is the last person she hugs and they seat down to talk too. Ladi got her something that makes Halita cry. It was from her chief bridesmaid, Onfo would have wanted her to have it, she really loved her. Ladi did not give it to her to make her cry rather remember her for the good memories and not the way she died. Ladi misses her too and knows Onfo would not want them to cry, she mimics Onfo calling her Maximillian, and they both laugh. Ladi gives her a hug then leaves Halita to her gift. Halita puts the red cap on her head as she mimics Onfo, she misses her so much.
Bobby went to see Kaza in jail after the party. Kaza has been reading about the family and can see everyone is doing well. Bobby informs him if King's plan goes according to the way he planned it he would be out of town soon. Kaza asks him about his plans, how are they coming along? Bobby tells him his plans are going as the way he planned it. Kaza likes the news.
Halita is taken to Jirasa by the police escort Yakubu provided for her. She goes to the gravesite to talk to Dareng. Halita tells him she is so afraid, she is scared of losing herself, she never knew how to leave without him, he has always been there for her now he has left her. The anger kicks in, Halita gets angry that he left her because she couldn't come for the coronation, is that how friends act? as she begins to cry even more.
Halita says he was so patient and she was so confused now see what it has caused them but she would not make that mistake again. Jirasa had his heart as well because she turned her back on him she took him away from her. Halita is tired of losing the people she loves, Kaka and Saha now him, she came to tell him she is sorry, he might have been Jirasa's acting Agomo but he would always be her Dareng.
Halita says she came to spend the day with him the one thing she missed, he should give her a sign and allow her to stay here with him.
Azi and Schola meet the officer and ask him who he is waiting for. He informs them he came with someone that went to the gravesite of the Agomo. Azi and Schola know it is Halita, they remember the necklace they found and decide to give it to her. Azi runs off to go get it. When he came back Halita was by the car. They inform her they are getting married and Halita is happy for them, they know she deserves happiness too, Dareng was their hero and the youths are building a new town hall in honor of him. Halita begins to cry again and Azi gives her the necklace, they found it on him and they know how important it is to him. Halita takes the necklace and thanks them for it, they just gave her what she needed as Halita runs off.
Walking down the waterfall, Halita remembers the time she and Dareng come down here to talk, a place they spent so much of their time. She says she would be careful, now she knows he would never leave her, when he gave her this sign she knew he wanted her to come here, their waterfall. Halita says she loved him so much that she never thought she would lose him no matter what she did.
She is leaving, she is going to school and can remember when he used to tell her they would leave the village but they have left now in different parts. This is her new beginning but she cannot begin without coming to talk to him first. She tells him Halita loves him Dareng, there would never be a goodbye or moving on not for her or Jirasa, their song may have ended but his melody leaves on. Flashbacks of the times they spent together before she lets the necklace into the river, go well Dareng see you soon.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF ALKALI MATT {DARENG}

ReplyDeleteThanks Kraffti
ReplyDeleteWow!! So Halita has come to an end. What now happens to Kaza, Bobby and King? I guess that for the Rishante-Zamani family, there won't be an end to drama.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kraftti for helping us keep tabs on Halita. And I pray your blog grows.
Amen
DeleteThanks for the updates. I pray God lifts you in style.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the updates. It kept be informed when I was unable to watch the show.
ReplyDeleteOverall, I think it was a great production and story- the cast and crew were amazing. I didn't like the ending but I get it, it was honorable. Also, I didn't like how some narratives were pushed.
1. Matilda seen as the victim- I agree that Kaza was evil towards her but she was no saint. She didn't treat King, Kaza and the staff well. She even threw Halita out of the house twice. I didn't like that King apologized to her about being indifferent towards her when he was growing up. It was strikingly clear that she didn't love him and remind him that he is an outsider. In one episode King was consoling Dosha and she wanted to know why King was consoling her and called him a stranger.
2. How Kaza was vilified- Kaza was evil, that's not debatable. But if it was not for him King and his other siblings would not have had that close r/ship. Bobby reminded King that sometimes they need their big bro (when they were going to Mama Uwani's funeral). How did Kaza did all those fraudulent activities at LUFU and the company is still doing well. Why was the editor blaming Kaza for Rubinata's death?
3. Adi being a saint- Adi knew Max's plan and that he planned Bobby's death but did nothing. If he has an issue to Kaza and Matilda, why involve the children. Rather than him pull all his resource and energy into finding Max after her attempted to kill Kaka he was hellbent on this witch hunt to put Kaza in prison.
4. I wanted to know what was Kaka's plans were. She seemed like she was in agreement with Max killing the Zamani's. I like Kaka and all but she was evil.
My thoughts exactly. Mathilda is as guilty as Kaza and Adi. To me, Adi is more a villain than Kaza is. The characterisation of Kaza portrayed in season 1 is somewhat inconsistent with that of season 2. You can't be this father that stepped in to raise your boys as men (one of them clearly disliked and outcasted by his step mother) when all his wife was hellbent on doing is dividing the children and pitching two against one. Kaza is the reason why those three children bond and stand beside each other to an extent. All left to Mathilda, Bobby and Dosha would have hated King just for that fact of him being born by another woman. All the while, Mathilda herself knew that she passed on another's child to her husband for over 24 years! I am still baffled and tyring to figure out how she is a victim. Her husband lied, she lied. Her husband cheated, she cheated. Infact, she despised people just for the fact that they did not have money. She treated everyone as beneath her. When Bobby was getting arrested, she spoke so condescendingly to the police officer re "I'll like to speak to your superiors". In my view, she and her mother are the main instigators of a majority of the sad events that unfolded. They never stopped to remind Kaza and King that they would be nothing if not for them. Doesn't hard work count at some point? Even if you lay a foundation, people can always build terrible structures on it. So while they may have laid the foundation, they should also be grateful for those that helped to raise the beautiful structure that it became albeit through lies and deceit wherein they were also culpable! I am so pissed typing all of this. I felt like the writers morphed a beautiful story (it would have propably garnered even a bigger following memory) to something ugly.
DeleteAs for Adi and his witch hunt as you rightly pointed out, I rest my case. That part of the story was so unnecessary. In fact, I don't think Adi should have even been Halita's father. There was nothing wrong will letting Dabot be her biological father. It almost seems like Halita ended up being successful because of LUFU. I would have rather King defied his father and both he and Halita start their own business against all odds. Tying Halita's success to LUFU sort of watered down the story for me. She ended up not being the underdog that she started out as afterall. I feel like these narratives were pushed to garner support for the spinoff "The Rishante's"; thus I have no interest in watching the Rishante's - it could have been a separate plot since most of the characters were going to be different anyway.
The story is great but the Ending not good at all,i ended up hating halita as gold digger, king betrayed is father that fought for him and made a viable man with resources,I like how Dosha stood by father during these trial times I did expect same from king but he betray that love, maltitada the worst evil woman had another child for another man when married and it was no wrong to her,Matilda should also be in jail too with Kazakh, except for the fact Kazakh is paying the of family first...I disagree with how halita treated king and dareng, she missed it all...Adi who conspired to kill is now a saint
ReplyDeleteExactly. Mathilda is hardly a victim. Their children were. All the adults including Adi are guilty. I feel like they had to push this narrative to usher the Rishante storyline but they could have just started a fresh plot for that or start another story altogether. The growth of the characters seemed inconsistent. A woman as bitter, angry and jealous as Mathilda cannot all of a sudden have a change of heart and become a hero, especially one in politics who has shown that she will stop at the length to achieve her political goals. I feel like they totally lost the plot on King and Halita's relationship. It would have been nice to build on something so beautiful to use as an example to people. How can a man that defied his father to marry the girl he loves still bend to the same father and agree to betray the girl? It just doesn't make sense to me!
DeleteI wished it didn't have to end. Thanks, Kraffti for all the updates.
