‘Halita’ Recap: Season 2 Episode 115

King returns to his flat wearing a tired look, he has been trying to reach his father to no avail, the response is the same, the number is switched off.

Adi is in his office working when DSP Yakubu comes to see him with news. Yakubu tells him the investigation is ongoing and they have a lead, everything is pointing to Kaza Zamani, Adi isn't surprised. Yakubu also informs him that the case involving Kaza and the governors has been reopened by the financial crimes commission, some evidence that went missing has suddenly reappeared. Yakubu thinks Kaza might have so many enemies that have brought this case to light again but Adi says with a smile he finally pissed off the wrong person.

Ladi goes into the kitchen looking for something to eat but stops herself, she is a strong woman and can do this.

Dosha goes to see Halita with a mischievous look on her face and Halita knows where this might be heading. Dosha came to talk about her policeman and Halita tells her his name is Mallum, they are just friends. Dosha saw the cozy dinner, they both like each other but Halita continues to say they are just friends, she knows where her heart is and she is trying to call him now.

Atasi enters the kitchen to find Ladi eating ferociously, she knew she would not last long enough, the warrior has finally given up. Ladi totally ignores her as she devours the food on her plate.

Jisara is in chaos, everyone is running for their lives including Dabot and Rebecca. Dabot insists she leaves the town, he cannot leave Dareng and the youths to handle this alone. Rebecca wants to go with her husband but Dabot insists she leaves, she should go to Halita, he would join her when he can.

The middlemen set fire to some of the houses and also shooting in some places. Zakka asks his wife what she did in the middle of the pandemonium? She says she did not know they meant the whole village, she only told them of Dareng.

King is in a good mood today when he gets a call from Mr. Onoja, he just got off from the ministry. King wants him to give him the good news, he has a list of vendors they can work with. Mr. Onoja informs him that they did not get the contract, they were of the opinion they could not take on such a huge project regardless of their good track record. King is saddened by the news.

Bitrus and Atasi are eating in the kitchen as Atasi narrates to him how Ladi ate all her food after she said she wouldn't be anything. Ladi enters the kitchen while they are eating to ask for her breakfast, Bitrus tells her he did not make anything for her since she said she would no longer eat but he made something special for her, it is only vegetables. Ladi uses her position as head of staff to make Bitrus prepare something for her. In the voices of Bitrus and Atasi absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Ladi goes in to give Matilda her paper and Matilda hands her something else to have the driver take to the office later. Ladi then informs her that Kaza is on his way back, Oga asked the driver to come to the airport to pick him up. Matilda is shocked at the news and immediately dismisses Ladi to call Adi.

She informs him Kaza is on the way and he should make all the necessary arrangements. Adi tells her they are in place and he would be coming to the house as she requested.

Angulu is reading his paper by the gate when Rebecca comes knocking. Angulu opens and is pleased to see Rebecca but she keeps saying Halita, she needs Halita. Atasi goes to call Halita so she can come to see her mother. Rebecca cannot say anything other than Halita. Halita takes her mother inside so she can rest before she begins to say what happened.

Rebecca explains to the entire Zamani family as well as Adi how they were all fine in the village then all of a sudden unknown gunmen attacked them, burning their house and shooting. Halita tries to reach her father and Dareng but cannot get through. She remembers to call Mallum, she is sure he can help, Matilda also calls the police commissioner in Jos to attend to the situation.

Kaza is back home, he is on the phone with a friend telling him everything is in place he would call him back. While Kaza is making his way into the house, Yakubu and his men fellow behind.

Kaza enters the house and the entire family is seated meanwhile Matilda is on the phone with the commissioner, he is already aware of the situation in Jirasa.

Yakubu and his men enter the house and arrest Kaza on a 34 counts fraud charge as well as bribing a government official. Kaza laughs at the idea of the arrest while Matilda asks to speak with him for a second, Yakubu grants the request.

Matilda and Kaza talk in the hallway, Kaza calls her the definition of sleeping with the enemy while Matilda tells him she is glad they finally got him for something, she knows what he did, he killed her father.

Dosha and Bobby are left in the house wondering what is going on while Adi goes out to join them in the hallway. Angulu calls King to come to the house, a lot is going on.

Adi entered the hallway the moment Kaza tells Matilda that her mother killed her father. Matilda is shocked by the news while Adi cannot believe what he just heard. Before Kaza leaves with the officers he tells Adi 'very sloppy'.

Everyone goes outside after the officers take Kaza out. Yakubu assures Halita that some officers are on their way to Jirasa. Dabot makes his way into the compound and Halita is relieved to see him. Dabot says he is not well, they have taken over the entire place. Halita asks him about Dareng and Dabot gives her the bad news, Dareng did not make it. Halita immediately breaks down with tears as her mother and father console her. King is there, Yakubu is there but leaves, Adi tries to console her but Matilda gives him a look that says it is not a good idea now. 

Next on Halita: Dosha wants them to help Kaza fight this, family first.
