'Halita' Recap: Season 2 Episode 114

Today in Halita. Adi got good news from Wale, their loan application has been approved. Bobby congratulates him, things are finally falling into place.
When Bobby leaves, Adi gets bad news amidst the good ones he has been having. Sekyen calls him frantically crying, she needs him right now. Adi tells her he is on his way to her house, she should stay calm and wait for him.
Adi arrives at her house and Sekyen tells him she was lucky she was not at home when they broke in but her security was hurt, he is in the hospital now. Officer Yakubu is also at the scene, he and his men are searching the house but the money she left was untouched. When Yakubu goes back inside, Adi tells Sekyen she should come to stay in his house, someone wants to hurt her because of him. Sekyen wants to know who it is but Adi cannot say, the person is trying to get to the people he loves. Sekyen agrees to leave but he should drop her at her friends house. Adi is willing to take her anywhere she wants to go.
Ladi is trying on new clothing but isn't comfortable with her body, she thinks she is fat. Atasi says it might be her period but Ladi doesn't agress, she is not expecting it now, she has added weight and she wants to lose it.
Matilda is in the living room when Adi storms inside angrily explaining to her what happened to Sekyen's house. Matilda is concerned is she okay? Adi says she is fine, if he catches Kaza Zamani he would murder him, he does not care if he is the father of her children. Matilda tells him to be calm, she would handle it he shouldn't do anything stupid.
Halita is reading a book at home when Mallum calls her. He congratulates her on her admission and Halita wonders who told him? Adi couldn't hide his excitement so he broke the news to him when they met earlier today. Mallum offers to take her to lunch so they can celebrate. Halita is about to turn him down, she already told him she wasn't interested in a relationship but agrees to go when Mallum says they are going as friends, he is not getting any ideas.
Dosha is watching the television when Altine calls her. Dosha suggests that they meet up for lunch, she just realized that they have not really gotten to know each other.
Adi and Matilda have a meeting in her office, Matilda keeps going over the plans for the company and Adi has a long face. She stops to ask him if he slept well? Adi did, he was wondering if she had time to look into his proposal for renewable energy? Matilda says she did, she needs some time to make a decision, they need to find the money for such a project. While they are talking Halita calls Adi to inform him of her choice, she has decided to go to the University of Toronto and Adi is happy with her decision, this has made him really happy. Adi has a smile on his face after the call from Halita, something he was not wearing prior to the call. Matilda is happy for Adi, Halita is an exceptional girl.
Halita and Mallum are having lunch at a restaurant and smiling at each other, this time Mallum skipped the uniform for a casual outfit. Dosha enters the same restaurant and is surprised to see Halita having lunch with Mallum, she says hi while giving Halita the suspicious look before going in to have lunch with Altine.
Ladi is in her room making a video of herself as a nutritionist critic. She complains about Jollof rice, bread, moi moi, and how they would make us fat, give heartburn, and a bunch of other reasons why she shouldn't eat. Atasi enters the room asking her if she should be worried, she has been talking to herself all day. Ladi orders her to go finish her chores rather than lie in bed questioning her. Atasi tells Ladi to please eat and let everyone rest.
Matilda is at home reading her paper when Huda enters the house peacefully to talk to her. Matilda tells her Kaza is not here but Huda knows, she came to see her. Huda apologizes for what happened with Kaza it was not her intention to cause any trouble showing up the way she did and saying those lies to her, she knows what she did has caused trouble in her marriage. Huda came to take responsibility for what she did to help her heal. Matilda makes her stop, she did not break her home it was broken from the very beginning, whatever was built on a foundation of lies was bound to crumble. She thanks her for the things she said because it helped her realize who Kaza really is and what they have become. Matilda had thought about what she would do to her since that night but all she could come up with was thank you. She offers Huda something to drink or better still eat since she is not her enemy.
Halita gets a surprising call from Schola, she called to apologize for all the nasty things she did to her in the past, she was not thinking right. Halita tells her everything is fine then asks about her business and Azi. Schola says her business is fine and she and Azi are together now. Halita did not see that one coming and is happy for her and Azi. Schola continues to tell her how much Azi dotes on her, he does not like her carrying anything heavy when he sees it he would take it from her. Before Schola ends the call, she tells Halita she can call her if she needs anything. This was not a conversation Halita was expecting and her exclamation at the end makes her surprise even clearer.
