'Tough Love' Recap: Season 1 Episode 2

Today in Tough Love. Shade asks Debola when was she going to tell her about the guy that bought her a car. Debola does not understand what her mother is saying and tries to tell her she does not know the person that got her the car but Shade would not let her finish, she wants her to ratify it and show her the person.
Ada gives Chinenye an earful after what she witnessed at the party. She is the one that kept saying she and Debola want to achieve something first before getting married but here Debola has a suitor that got her a car. Chinenye is sure Debola is not seeing anyone. Ada sarcastically asks her so who else would sign the card as his one and only.
Sade tells Debola she is not rushing her but she is giving her one week to show her who bought her the car, she is happy for her. Her daughter is seeing someone, God win!
Debola and Chinenye meet at a restaurant to try and to figure out who would have gotten Debola the car. They go over the list of guys Debola has either had a relationship with or come in contact with and none of them fit the bill.
The moment Debola gets home, Shade asks her to hand over the car keys. Debola wants to know why but Shade would not say anything rather she should give her the car keys. Debola realizes that her mother knows who got the car and wants to know who it is. Shade reluctantly tells her it was Lolu that bought her the car. Debola knows Lolu, he is her father. Shade gets really angry he is not her father after he abandoned them he lost that right, she should give her the keys.
Debola and her confidant Chinenye talk about her mother's reaction to her father buying her a car. Debola is upset that she had to return the car but her mother is right, he left them before she was born to go outside the country for greener pastures. Chinenye suggests she hears from her father too, there might be a different side to the story.
Shade storms into Lolu's to return his car keys to her, how dare him buy her daughter a car! Lolu was just trying to make up for the past and appreciate his daughter for completing Nysc but Shade is not having it, she and her daughter do not need anything from him.
Debola and Chinenye are waiting for another ride when an old friend Susan B comes by. They can barely recognize her so she reintroduces herself.  Susan offers to take them to her house for drinks.
Susan tells the girls what she does that got her the cars and the house. Back in secondary school, they both used to look down on her even in the university so she started a relationship blog that grew to provide all of this for her. The girls are in awe, she has done so well for herself.
Next on Tough Love: Chinenye sees Jide with his sugar mummy in a store.
Debola went to get the car back and Shade is furious.
