'Tyler Perry The Oval' Recap: Season 1 Episode 21

In this week's episode of The Oval. Kyle is the man in the changing room that shot Yuma with a silencer. Kyle did not shoot to kill rather he aimed for her leg. Kyle drags her through the store to get her to talk, he saw her and Max looking suspicious. Yuma needs help, she tries to shout but Kyle subdues her. In a bid to protect herself Yuma says he needs to call this in, the FBI and DOJ are aware she is here and are coming. Kyle is no fool, he knows no one is coming so he ties her up nicely with a gag around her mouth.

Gayle calls Brian Winters again, she wants to emancipate from her parents. Gayle wants to know if whatever she says wouldn’t be told to anyone yet she doesn’t have a problem being recorded since it is under attorney-client confidentiality. After Brian sends her an email to sign, making their engagement formal, he makes Gayle explain why she wants to emancipate. Her parent's fist fight all the time, they abuse her and her brother. Gayle goes on to tell Brian a little too much about her family and it is on tape.

Sam comes back to see Kareem as he promised. Kareem thinks he is trying to strong-arm him into dropping the charges because he is a secret service. Sam did not intend to do that, he wants him to do this as a favor for him, and when he does favors like this for people like him he can cash in on it whenever he wants. Kareem still insists on charging Barry for his store.
Nancy is trying to get Richard back into bed and make him stop worrying about Barry when Sam comes in to talk to them about Barry.
Sam informs them Barry has a chance to get out on bail, the lady was not Ruth, the blood on the knife is animal blood. Nancy says praise god like she did not totally believe Barry could do all the things they accused him of. Richard, on the other hand, always knew his son could not do such a thing. About the murder charge, if Barry says some kid borrowed his car then he can walk. Richard insists Sam says everything in the presence of Nancy. Nancy says it’s not right, she cannot believe they are teaching their son now to lie. Richard reminds her they both had their hands on the trigger, it could have been him, he is just trying to give Barry a clean start. Nancy's double standard treatment to her son and Richard is uncanny, she is willing to lie when Richard is involved but for Barry she wants him to be punished. Nancy gets emotional when they tell her Picky is dead, he is the one they want to put the blame on. She can’t believe they want to make her sister’s son take the blame. Nancy might be Picky’s mum, she almost mentioned her son before remembering her secret then quickly says her sister’s son.
Victoria warns the maid not to let anyone into their room under no circumstances.

Diana the acting Press Secretary gets informed about Gayle's intentions to emancipate, Brian called to give them the heads up. After being convinced it is Gayle that called and not some rumors, Diana asks for 24hrs to get back to him.
Gayle tries to get Jason to come with her, her lawyer has filed her emancipation papers and she needs witnesses. Jason knows she is only being nice to him because she wants something, their parents would kill them when they find out. Gayle tried to leverage with her brother, she heard Jean talking about them and they are not supposed to do that, he can use that against her. Jason still says no.
Kyle’s plan to take the mattress out involves Max. Kyle meets Max in the security room to tell him the truth. Kyle says he was at the DOJ and they are building a case against the president. Denise came to see him, she brought drugs and Hunter mistakenly killed her after he had too much. Max does not trust him but Kyle says they know they swore to protect the president but they took an oath to this country and he wants to do the right thing. Kyle asks that he brings the van to the east wing so they can get the mattress out. He can keep the mattress for safekeeping since he doesn’t trust him. Max agrees to help.

Hunter sees Elly the Press Secretary’s aid outside his office and immediately calls her into his office so they can talk. He thinks she would make a fine press secretary instead of the acting one, she should have a seat so they can talk. Hunter just found himself a new mistress.
Diana goes into Don’s office to inform him of the level 6 issue they have with Gayle, they need to meet with the President and his wife now. Before Don leaves he sends his secretary to inform the First Lady they need to meet in the Oval then calls Kyle to inform him the window is open.
Max is pacing back and forth trying to reach Yuma but she would not pick up. Kyle calls him, it is now or never.

Victoria meets Elly, her husband’s new conquest just before she is about to leave the Oval.
Victoria cannot believe she is upstairs trying to clean up his mistake and he is already on to his next victim, hopes she knows he likes to get high and decapitate a bitch.
The meeting with Don and Diana ends abruptly with Victoria calling them all incompetent, she would handle her daughter. Before Diana leaves the Oval, she stylishly takes yellow underwear from the couch with her.
Don tries to talk to Hunter about the issue with Gayle but Hunter is only interested in a new press secretary and he has an idea for who that should be.
Max has the mattress in his truck and Yuma calls him to come to the store, she got hurt and she needs him to come alone. Max is on his way.
Kyle had her call Max without given Yuma any aid, he is sure she would not bleed out.
Victoria goes back to the residence to find her bedroom unlock. The maid informs her it was agent Carter that ordered them to clean the room. Victoria gets even more upset, the mattress is gone.

Diana tries to get Elly to raise up her dress so she can confirm it wasn’t her underwear. When Elly says it isn’t hers and she did not do anything, Diana threatens to go run a sample in the FBI database and if she finds out it is hers she is fired.

Max gets to the store and he and Kyle have a fistfight. Kyle is able to take down Max and Yuma that tries to intervein.
