'Tyler Perry The Oval' Recap: Season 1 Episode 22

This week on The Oval. Kyle pulls Yuma up then puts both their hands on the trigger as he shoots Max multiple times, making it look like Yuma did it. He takes the same gun and shoots Yuma even more. Leaving a bunch of pictures beside Max as a cover-up before driving away with Max’s truck.
Victoria matched into The Oval Office to inform Hunter that they took the mattress. Hunter is comfortable with Kyle taking it, he is his guy and he knows everything. Victoria’s distrust for the people in the White House fuels her continues skepticism to Kyle’s intentions. Hunter is too confident in Kyle, he knows everything and yet he is still President.
Barry goes to the hospital to see his father after what he did. Richard wakes up and is in disbelief that he is out. Barry is out and really sorry that he got shot. Richard assures him they would get over this together, Richard loves his son so much and advises him against going off in a rage like that, they would find his daughter.

Kyle blew the truck up with the mattress in it. He calls Hunter to inform him it has been taken care of. He had to take responsibility to protect him. Hunter wants him to talk to his wife then come pull his pants down for him.  Kyle immediately says yes sir to pulling his pants before Hunter. Hunter was only having a sense of humor, he wants him to pull his pants down so he can see how much balls he has left after talking to his wife.
Gayle is on a video call with Brian when Victoria comes banging at her door to open it. Gayle immediately tells Brian to record their conversation. Victoria wants her to open the door or she would get someone to come to break it down. Gayle keeps insisting she goes away, provoking a reaction from Victoria. Victoria calls the security room requesting for a sledgehammer.
Nancy calls her sister Beverly about Picky’s death. Beverly is an unrepentant junky that never paid attention to Picky all these years. She never went to the mug to ID Picky or call Nancy to tell her he was dead rather she wants money as usual. Beverly reminds Nancy Picky was more her responsibility than hers she needs money or she would do what she has to do. Nancy boldly tells her to go ahead, she has been paying her all these years she would not continue.
Lilly goes to see Bobby. She cannot continue to stay with Don like that, she cannot be the person he wants her to be. Bobby is willing to help her, she should file the divorce papers and he would do the rest. He would take her to his safe house. Lilly begs him not to betray her, this is her life and it would be over if he does. Bobby assures her he would not betray her, he would protect her. First, they need to get rid of her car and her phone. Lilly gives it to him.

Don gets a report on the President’s secured WiFi. His assistant informs him that the president has been watching too much porn on bondage and submission that might be how Gayle got access online. Don takes the report but does not have enough time to look through it because his assistant informs him again that Gayle is online now with the lawyer.
When running to Gayle’s room, the meet Victoria walking like a zombie dragging the sledgehammer as she goes.

Don tries to talk to her to give him the hammer but Victoria is in full Zombie mood and only throws homophobic slurs at Don. Don grabs the hammer from her then yells at the First Lady, she has everything at her fingertips and she wants to throw it all away. Victoria tries to talk back but Don says she should go ahead and break down the door even the woman that killed her baby would have more sympathy than her. While Victoria is trying to yell her way back to authority, Hunter comes to the resident.

Victoria wants him to fire Don for talking to her in that tone but Hunter would not rather he allow Don to speak freely. Don informs them that Gayle is on a conference call with the lawyer using his secured WiFi password, this is the best time for them to go in and show the world that they are caring parents. Don leaves to go get the keys.
Hunter tells VictorIs to thank Don for saving her ass just the way she should thank Kyle too. Hunter is certain his wife has split personality disorder but Victoria insists it is because she has a brain that thinks if his password is that secure how do they know Gayle is online now?
Nancy goes to identify Picky as her nephew but breaks down, even more, the moment his body is pulled out.
Don brings the key to Victoria and Hunter. Before leaving, Victoria warns Don against ever speaking to her like that again or she would pay someone to fuck him up but not like a man having sex with him rather fuck him up. Victoria wants Gayle internet access caught off but Don has a better idea, they just leave it on for a few days so the lawyer doesn’t get suspicious.
The Franklins are ready to put on a show. Victoria says it is like having sex with him and pretending to love it as they walk hand in hand into Gayle’s room.
Gayle is still on the conference call with Brian and this time he calls his secretary to come to watch. Victoria and Hunter turn the table on Gayle making her look like she is delusional and making up stories. They want her to seek professional help and they know a place to keep it out of the press. Hunter even apologizes for not letting Picky come for the inauguration. Gayle doesn’t understand what is going on, they are up to something. Brian on the other hand angrily tells his secretary to turn the video call off.

When Victoria and Hunter get outside, Victoria tells Hunter she is waiting for that little girl to come outside. Meanwhile, Gayle just got cut off by the lawyer.
The little show in Gayle’s room is over so the Franklins are back to default, letting out how much they hate each other. Victoria would have buried a knife in his chest a long time ago.
Elly goes back into Diana’s office seeing she still has her job. Diana insists she still takes up her dress if she did not sleep with the President but Elly claps back with a sexual harassment suit if she continues. Diana would get the DNA results in 24hrs and she should be ready to testify at the congress.
Before Diana leaves for the day she asks Don if Hunter is the type that would have sex in the Oval? Don first says he would with his wife then says Hunter is who he is when Diana insists he tells her so she can know how to protect him.
Don tells his assistant Allen to close for the night then enters his office to call Lilly. He leaves a voice note hoping she did not do what he thinks she did.
Hunter is heading to the Oval when he spots Elly still in her office. Elly informs him of Diana and the yellow underwear she found in his office. She thinks it is hers and would fire her if the DNA matches hers. Hunter thanks her for telling him this.
When Elly comes out of the office, Allen is waiting for her outside. They are in a relationship but cannot show it in the White House. Elly tells him she told the president how much of a bitch Diana was and she thinks he wants to confront her early in the morning. Allen says they should go for drinks to celebrate but Elly gets a text from Potus {aka the President} saying she should not leave, he needs more info. Elly lies to Allen, Diana wants her to write a report now, she would meet him later.

Barry is about telling his father what he heard that he shouldn’t have when Nancy returns. She is not so happy Barry is out because If he is out then he told them Picky did it. Richard has to convince her they did the right thing to save their son. They tried to raise Picky, give him a chance but he would not take it. Nancy insists they bury Picky and not leave him there. Richard knows funerals are expensive but would take out money from his retirement. He is so sorry this happened to Picky but they had to put him out because Barry was acting out too. Nancy comes clean to Richard, Picky was her son.
