'Halita' Recap: Season 2 Episode 74

Today in Halita. Matilda needs her brother to carefully explain what he just told her. Adi reminds her of a time their dad sent him to Jos to stay with their uncle. He met a girl and they would always spend time together then one thing led to another before he had to leave for the trip. Matilda does not think that is enough reason for Halita to be his daughter. Adi tells her he met Rebecca/Nankling during Halita's introduction and suspected it. He went back to the village to confront her about it and she confirmed Halita is his daughter.

Kaza goes into the living room to meet Matilda. Kaza is still being bitter about the MD position and Matilda is not having it. Kaza justifies his anger because he has been the one running Lufu for this long and all of a sudden they jump on Adi's chief. Matilda insists there was no better person for the job, he has not given her any reason why Adi should not be the MD. Matilda is tired of him being petty and would prefer they face the issues they are having right now, someone dropped a child at their doorstep. Matilda also informs her husband of what Adi told her, he is Halita's father. She is a Rashante. Kaza cannot believe it.

Halita and Dareng are on the farm working. Dareng compliments her farming skills, with the way she is going she would spend the next 6 hours on that particular potion. Halita says her time in school has reduced her farming skills. Dareng cannot wait for her to finish school so she can help him with her expertise. He has been trying to get a contract with Lufu and has been trying to save up so he can expand. Halita suggests getting a loan from the bank. CBN has directed banks to give a small percentage of their loans to small medium scale businesses. Dareng thanks her, she is already showing how smart she is. Dareng then asks her about her mother but Halita stylishly changes the topic. They came to work not gist.

Bobby returns home with a lot of shopping bags. Matilda spots the ball he got and can see the reason he went out shopping was for the kid. Bobby has been on and about getting things for the baby and Matilda is impressed but he has to slow down his horses till the DNA results come out then they can open the flood gates, they cannot have babies getting dropped at their gate from women in his past. Bobby understands what is mother is saying.

Sekyen goes to Adi's office to inform him of his meeting. Adi asks her to sit and talk with him. He wants to know what she thinks about his methods. Sekyen tells him he is the boss and he can run the company the way he likes but the company has been running for a while and people were used to the system it would take a while for them to get used to it however she likes the need for growth and having changes that would foster growth. Adi can see she is not comfortable with their relationship.
Sekyen is not so sure of their relationship, she has never dated her boss before and from what she has seen in the past it does not always end well. Adi is willing to talk to HR so it can be out there. Sekyen just needs time to process things.
Dareng and Halita are walking back from the farm. He tries to tell her to talk to Dabot and Rebecca but Halita says it is so hard, she asked her mother when he told her about Dareng not being her father and she lied, she told her he was lying, the deception is too much.

While they are talking, Schola comes calling Dareng with a bag on her head. The moment she gets to them, Schola asks Dareng what he thinks he is doing? Halita thanks Dareng for escorting her then takes to her to leave.

Dareng wants to know what she is doing? Schola claims he should be thanking her from saving him from Halita's bad luck. It was when Halita left the village her mother got better, Kudus was banished because of her and he bought a car than caused him so much trouble because he was still in love with Halita. That girl is bad luck. Dareng warns her to never speak of Halita in that manner again before walking away.
Dosha goes to Adi again, his changes are too much at the same time. They are still trying to get over him firing a whole department. Adi insists that all he is doing is to get the staff to work properly they cannot be paying them to take long vacations and leaves. He wants Dosha to have his back on all of this, they would be fine. Dosha has always had his back. Before she leaves, Dosha tells him she heard something about him and Halita, how is he holding up? Adi just wishes she would talk to him.
Dabot and Halita sit in front of the house to talk. He remembers how small she was as a little child that her aunt thought she was a chicken. He first took her to school when she was 3years old and her uniform was so big for her. She was 7 years old when he lost a very close friend and she stayed beside him throughout that time, she has always been an independent girl. Dabot cries as he tells Halita she is his daughter nothing would ever change that, he would fight for her with his last blood if he has too. Halita tells her father, he would have told her, she deserved to know. Dabot informs her he did not know Adi was her father, he thinks Rebecca did not tell them because she wanted to protect them.

Next on Halita: Rebecca wants to know what her daughter would do now the truth is out in the open. Halita does not know what to do, she does not know if the Zamanis are aware and she does not think she wants to go back to that house. Rebecca reminds her she cannot stay here because it is not safe. Kudus.
