'Halita' Recap: Season 2 Episode 69

Today in Halita. Matilda is sipping her tea in the sitting room when Kaza comes to meet her. Matilda is giving Kaza the cold shoulder and Kaza knows he deserves it. His attitude yesterday was unacceptable, she wanted to talk to him yesterday and he was behaving like a two-year-old, he just had a lot on his chest. Matilda accepts the apology. Kaza then asks her how she is doing? Matilda had a slight headache yesterday but she took some painkillers and she is fine.

Kaza informs her that he was thinking they should increase Angulu's salary as a thank you for saving their lives. Matilda is okay with it, she even asked Ladi to take up the position of head of the house staff, they need to get a new cook and do some restructuring around here.

Schola meets Halita on her way in the village. She heard she is back in the village so they did not marry her again? Halita is about walk away from her when Schola grabs her arm asking her if they did not teach her manners? The only reason she would let her go is because of Dareng so he does not say she is fighting and would spoil her soft skin. Halita takes her hands off her then walks away. Schola has parting words for her, it is because she is like this that is why no one would honor her.

Huda comes to see Kaza in the sitting room. She came to see King but he is not around. Kaza does not want her to be here but Huda informs him she is worried for their son, he really loved Halita and wanted to marry her. Kaza tells her King and Halita would be fine. Huda then decides to go down memory lane remembering does time when King was still a baby and would not stop crying, he was a good father and he still is. Kaza replies that she then dropped the ball, since they are going down this flowery lane he reminds her how she left King all these years and suddenly showed up to be his mother. King and Halita would get married, a new date would be set he is sure of that.
Adi is in his office worried when Sekyen comes to take the files for the Kuje farms. Adi has not yet worked on them she can come back later for them. Sekyen knows that this is strange, he always has the files ready before she comes to take it. Sekyen wants to know what is wrong but Adi is not willing to share, he is fine.

Bobby goes to see Halita in Jirasa. She is so surprised to see him here. Bobby reminds her she did not inform him she was traveling before leaving. Halita apologizes she had to leave. Bobby wants her to come back she cannot give up on everything just like that. Halita thought about that but the question is where would she stay? Bobby just wants her to make up her mind he would arrange for them. Halita turns him down, she has made up her mind not to return to the house. Bobby also reminds her of school but Halita is not changing her mind.
Kaza hands Angulu an envelop of cash thanking him for what he did for them. Kaza also informs him that his salary would be increased by 100% they would talk to his superiors about it. Angulu is very thankful to his boss.

Dareng sees Bobby leaving the village so he stops to greet him. Dareng did not know he was here. Bobby came to take care of somethings. Dareng reminds him of what they discussed on the phone. Bobby wants him to come to see him with his proposal so they can talk.
Dareng is about leaving his house when Schola comes to meet him with an angry look on her face. Schola informs him she just ran into Halita, she heard they did not marry her again, the man called off the wedding. Dareng knows nothing about that, she should have asked her herself. Schola tells him he should be telling her these things it would create a strong relationship for them, she hopes he knows where his head is? Dareng knows where his head is, she should stop listening to gossips. Schola wants them to go inside so she can make something for him to eat. Dareng has to leave he has somethings to attend too.

Matilda is in the sitting room reading when Altine comes to see her. Matilda does not raise her head as she tells her Bobby is not here. Altine knows, she only stopped by to say hello to her. Matilda then makes another statement, 'Have no fear of perfection for you would never reach it' Altine then completes what she said by saying the author of that statement.

Aline and Matilda bond over their love for reading about women and their achievement. They also talk about Funmi Kuti and her achievements. Matilda and Altine enjoy their conversation about women and the sidelines they have been subjected to over the years. Maybe one-day women would come to realize there is more to them than just bringing out babies.
Schola is waiting for Dareng with his food in front of his house when Gromlat comes holding a basket with food for Dareng. Schola informs her she cooked for Dareng, she should better take that food to her patients in the hospital. Gromlat insists that her patients are not hungry. Schola knows they would not be hungry after she cooks rubbish for them to eat. Gromlat warns her to be careful Schola also warns her to be careful too.

Kaza is in his study when King comes in. Kaza angrily asks him where has he been, he has been looking for him? King asks his father that he hopes he is happy now? Kaza ignores him and begins to talk about Adi trying to get the MD's position, who does he think he is? He wants him to play his card and he would. Kaza finally realizes King is not saying anything. King informs him that Halita broke up with him, he is not aware that she left the house? King regrets listening to his father, he ruined him. Kaza did not know about all of this. King is not willing to talk to him he just leaves the study as Kaza calls him.

The next day, Kaza and Matilda are in the sitting room when Atasi comes to serve them their juice. Kaza asks her if she has seen King? Atasi begins to give a confusing explanation about seeing King but he has gone to the village. After Atasi leaves, Kaza tells Matilda that King went back to the village to try and talk to Halita to take him back, Halita called off the engagement. Matilda did not know they broke up she only asked for some time to go to the village she felt it had to do with her grief for Kaka. Kaza thought this was something he could fix but he is not so sure anymore.
King has his ear pods on while eating. He keeps bumping to the music and did not know when his father came in. Kaza comes over to the dinner table to talk to his son. He has been looking for him, he heard he went to the village. King does not take the ear pods out rather he takes his food and leaves his father sitting alone.

Next on Halita: Bobby and Dosha are in the parlor talking when King excitedly comes to join them. King isn't bothered about what she did or did not do. Dosha calmly tells him not to talk like that.
