'Halita' Recap: Season 2 Episode 53

Today in Halita. Matilda is healthy enough to have breakfast at the dining table. Kaza comes out to join her, she should have had her breakfast upstairs. Matilda is tired of being cooked up in her bedroom. Matilda then asks how the introduction went? Kaza informs her that it went well, Halita's parents are really humbled. Matilda wants to know when the wedding would take place, she wants to give them a really good dinner. Matilda really likes weddings.

Dosha then comes out, surprised to see her mother downstairs. Matilda is tired of everyone babying her. Dosha intends to go to the office to get some files then come back to stay with her. Matilda is fine and wants her daughter to go about her day.
The staff are in the kitchen when Onfo comes to give them the news that Halita wants her to be her 'Best Lady' better still, maid of honor. Viccoco really wants to been seen in that wedding too so Bitrus suggests that he goes to ask King to be one of his boy's brigades. The other staff laughs at him, how would he go to ask King to be his best man with all his international friends. Viccoco decides to go with his plan, there is no harm in trying.

King is in his house hanging a picture when Viccoco comes in to talk to him. Viccoco asks if he could be his best man? King acknowledges Viccoco is a good man and an efficient one at that but he has already asked Bobby, he is his longest friend and his brother. Viccoco then asks to be one of his boy's brigades. King also passes on that. Before Viccoco leaves, he asks King if he has a Type C charger? King does not know what he is saying so Viccoco has to leave before he embarrasses himself even more.

Halita goes to King's flat and the place is a bit of a mess with pillows on the floor so Halita begins to arrange the parlor when King comes out. Halita wants to make tea for him seeing he had been drinking last night. Halita then gets an idea for a tea she would like to make, she thought about it during the introduction. King cannot believe she was thinking about tea during her wedding. King wants her to think about the wedding from now on.

Altine is helping Halita plan her wedding. Halita is overwhelmed with all the outrageous names  of colors she is calling. Altine informs her that it is an Abuja wedding and you don't just mention dark blue and pink like that. Halita informs her that King and herself always wanted a small wedding with just close family but classy.
Viccoco goes to the staff to ask for Type C charger, his phone went dead after all the village girls wouldn't stop blowing up his phone especially Gromlat. Atasi knows he has no girls calling his phone he is lying, she knows they gave her a hard time. While they are talking, Bobby comes in to call Viccoco, he needs to go to the office and does not want to be late. Before Bobby leaves, he gives Ladi a stare.
Halita meets Adi in the parlor and he has a lot of questions to ask her about her family. After appreciating how the ceremony was, Adi asks her about her siblings? Halita is an only child. She can speak very well because she went to a good school in the village. Adi is about to ask her about her mother when Kaka  Altine enters. They have been looking for Halita. Halita apologizes to Adi, she has to go now.

After Halita and Altine leave, Adi asks Kaka if she recognized Halita's mum? Kaka claims she does not.  So Adi reminds her it is Nankam/Rebecca {Don't think I got this name right}. Kaka then tells him she always thought the woman looked familiar. {Remember in Season 1 when Kaka took Halita to the village, she recognized Rebecca then, wondering why she claims otherwise now} What is he going to do now? Adi has to go back to Jirasa he needs answers. After Adi cancels his entire appointment for the day, Matilda enters so they can talk. Adi came to check on her after what happened. Matilda is fine.

At Jirasa, The youths have been rioting about the recent developments in the village but Kudus is not bothered about that rather complaining about the elders going for Dabot's event when he was not invited. It shows they are not loyal, they were not supposed to go there leaving him alone under a tree. The Chiefs have to apologize to their Agomo, they did not know he needed them. Kudus then decides that he would impose more taxes on the youths, he would tax their bikes, their farms, the market, he would tax everything. Bindul has to call Kudus to order, he may be the Agomo but he is still the most senior chief in the village. He should be careful.
Things continue to get awkward with Hassan and Dosha whenever they are in the office with each other. Dosha is having a meeting with Eric and Hassan about the progress of the projects when Eric has to leave the office for a moment because he has something to hand over to Bobby first. When Eric is away, Dosha and Hassan begin to stare at each other. The connection breaks when Dosha's phone rings and she has to take it.

Dareng is taking Haltia's marriage really hard. He is by a tree frustrated and thinking of what to do. Dareng takes of the neckless he wears around his neck and throws it away. Meanwhile, Gromlat is watching him on a container from a distance.

Adi goes to Jirasa wearing a hoody on a bike in the bid to not raise suspicion. The first person he meets is Walshek, Agomo's trusted informant.

He wants to pass a message to Halita's mum so he gives him a note with money to help him pass along to her. Walshek assures him that he would do it.
Next on Halita: Bobby kneels down to beg Ladi to forgive him for what he did to her.
