'Unmarried' Recap: Season 1 Episode 7

In today's episode of Unmarried. Nengi and Kamsi talk about Udoka. Nengi says he is a human being and the sun does not revolve around his penis but she has to keep her voice down because of the kids. Kamsi, on the other hand, does not feel the same, she thinks he is hot after watching him on Tinsel. Nengi also tells her Udoka wanted to spend the night with her but she was ready to do that right away, it just felt so awkward. Kamsi reminds her she slept with her driver on the first day. Nengi tells her that it was just a mistake there was alcohol involved.

Joe resumes for work at Funbi's house to find her crying in bed. Funbi asks him if she looks like a prostitute? Nengi's boss called her a prostitute last night. Joe reassures her that she is not a prostitute and she is way better than that, no prostitute is as lucky as she has been. There seems to be a low flow of cash in the house right now because when Joe entered to make breakfast there was nothing in the kitchen. Funbi is aware and she would find a way around it.


Nengi, on the other hand, does not get the promotion, her boss gave it to Nosa instead of her.
Kamsi's sister Somto is two-sided. She comes to see her sister at Nengi's house and begins to complain about Nengi. According to her, Nengi is only interested in making money forgetting her place as the woman, no wonder Atonye left her to marry someone else. This is the same Somto that keeps telling Kamsi to leave her husband because he is not good enough for her.

Nengi goes to her boss's office to know why he told her the promotion was already hers then gave it to Nosa? Her boss tells her Nosa is more suitable for the position, he is not going through any emotional trauma like she is. Nengi knows the main reason why he did not give her the promotion.

Somto has more things to tell Kamsi this time it is about her husband. Lotanna is not good enough for her, he is not working to change his life, she keeps seeing him buy food from a bukker down the road and drinking every other night. Kamsi keeps defending her husband, he is trying his best. Somto decides that they go to the house to see for themselves and if she is right then she would leave Lotanna.

Meanwhile, Funbi and Joe have to settle for garri and moi-moi at least that would do. They are eating when Funbi gets a call from the bank. It is concerning the mortgage for the house. Chuka stopped paying for the house since they broke up and since her name is on the documents they called her.

Kamsi and Somto go to see Lotanna at the house and the whole place is a mess. Lotanna has been drinking himself and sleeping constantly. Kamsi cannot take it anymore, she finally realizes Lotanna cannot give her the life she deserves as well as the kids.
Weynom apologizes to Nengi at the office for his outburst the other day. He was just stressed with exams and work. They are still talking when Nengi gets a call from Funbi.


Nengi goes over to Funbi's house and her friend is crying in bed. Nengi goes through her finances and it is not looking good for Funbi. She needs 21 million if she is going to continue to leave her life and keep the house. Funbi has no idea where to get the money from so Nengi suggests she puts this place up for rent then come stay in her house. Funbi's world is crumbling while Nengi gets a text from Udoka for them to meet up tonight.

Back at Nengi's house, Kamsi cannot keep up with Lotanna again. He is just at home drinking and sleeping his life away. Nengi calms her friend down since she has a plan to get a job she is here for her.

Nengi goes on her date with Udoka and keeps on complaining about work. They decide to change the topic to get Nengi to calm down. Nengi decides to give the dating thing a try so Udoke and herself decide to return to her house.
At Nengi's house, Kamsi's daughter Ada is sitting in the parlor when Udoka and Nengi enter kissing.
It is really awkward for them. Ada just asks for a hug since she used to see him in Tinsel then goes to her room. Nengi, on the other hand, decides to throw caution to the wind and sleep with Udoka without asking questions.
