'Halita' Recap: Season 2 Episode 40

In today's episode of Halita. Matilda demands to know what it is about work that is causing her two executives to have a very disgraceful arguement? Kaza tries to make Matilda leave it alone so she wouldn't be worried. Adi, on the other hand, comes up with the excuse of a cassava proposal that is why they are arguing. Matilda knows something is going on between them and she would find out about it.

Halita goes to Bobby's room and Altine is also there. Bobby reminds Halita that it is Altine and Bobby, not Altine and Uncle Bobby. Halita would need time to get used to not calling him uncle.

Bobby wants them to all go on a double date but Halita cannot, she just finished eating some delicious moi-moi that Ladi made in the kitchen. Altine is interested in eating the moi-moi after hearing all the ingredients that Ladi used in making the moi-moi so Halita leaves to go get some for her. There goes Bobby's date then.

In the kitchen. Viccoco meets Ladi to give him some of her delicious moi-moi and Halita enters at the exact same time asking for moi-moi for Altine. Ladi begins to sing 'Bad energy stay far away' She is willing to sell to Halita because there would be money, not Viccoco.
Kaza sits with the doctor so she can explain how it is possible Matilda has Parkinson. The doctor tells him from the symptoms they saw it is clear Matilda has stage two but she is not writing of the fact that there might have been errors. Kaza tells Matilda that she is a fighter and they would fight this.
Halita is studying in a balcony when one of her colleagues calls her about a flier she saw on Instagram and she wants them to go there. Halita checks it and it Abuja Eat and Drink. Halita calls her back to thank her for tagging her, it is just perfect they would attend.
Rebecca goes to the elders to complain about Kudus. He is trying to take food from her mouth regardless of all that she is going through right now. Rebecca wants them to talk to Kudus, he cannot take her land when her husband is not dead yet and even if he was dead it is not right. Rebecca wants them to talk to Kudus, he should not take away her family land. Zakka tells her that their role as elders is limited, anything concerning land is solely in the hands of the Agomo.
Adi meets Rubi at an eatery uninvited. She does not want to talk to him and does not know how he found her here. Adi demands to know why she retracted the story when she knows that the story was true. Rubi does not want to talk to him and he should leave her alone. Adi leaves but first tells her hope the pay was worth it.
Ladi finally warms up to Altine after she had her moi-moi. Ladi is so happy to tell her the ingredients she used in making them so Altine decides to order a batch so she can put them in her fridge. Ladi is willing to make them for her.
Matilda and Kaza seem to be mending their relationship one step at a time. Kaza meets her in the parlor and suggests they go out to see the town, she cannot remain cooked up in here. Matilda tries to give excuses for why she shouldn't go but Kaza reminds her of a time they went out early in their relationship. They drove in a convertible and Matilda almost got them arrested for putting her hands out of the car. Matilda also remembers they almost got lost because Kaza would not take directions from people. Kaza reminds her it is all about the memories and it is not late to make new ones. Matilda would go and get changed.

The elders meet with Kudus to talk about not taking Dabot's land but Kudus chase them away. It is because he is a humble man that is why they have access to him and can come and tell him what to do. Kudus chase them out of his palace they all leave holding their slippers in their hands.

Rebecca meets with the youths so they can help her. She has told the elders that Kudus wants to take her land but they have done nothing about it. The youths remind her that going after the Agomo would not be easy and would need her to give them something as motivation. Rebecca tells them she is like a mother to them and they should think about it like helping their mother. If Kudus can take her land then their lands are not safe.

Afrah goes to Dosha's office to talk to her. She and Dosha have an exchange of words first but Afrah would not leave the office until she hears her out first.
Next on Halita: Rubi opens her door and an unexpected visitor is there to see her. From the voice, it is Max.
