Who shot Ghost? has been on everyone's mind all through the break, hopefully we get that answered in this episode.
Here is a full recap of what went down in episode 11 of Power: Still Dre
Dre is in his apartment with his daughter Heaven and her mama Tina. His baby mama thinks they should leave New York and move to Vegas before she ends up buying a casket in New York. Dre, on the other hand, wouldn't leave. He can be the king of New York he is good at this drug game. Dre tells her he made a move last night that would solve all their problems. They are still going back and forth when news on Ghost comes on TV. Ghost would soon be named Leuteninent Governor for Lorette Walsh. Dre's problems come back again this time with Ghost running for office. He heads straight to Saxe's apartment.
Saxe goes to open the door with his bathrobe on, he got fired so there is so much a man can do. Dre needs him to fix this situation with Ghost. He asked him to plant the phone at Ghost apartment and he did. Ghost is about to be Lorette Walsh running mate he has to fix it or he would do things his own way. Saxe doesn't believe the news until he reads it on his phone. Patient Dre good things come to those that wait. He would handle it. I wonder how much Saxe can do after he got fired from the department.
Dre has a new crew set up to move weight but Jason is dead so no drugs for now. Dre would be handling it. They are still together in the warehouse when Jason's people come to get Dre. He killed their boss and they want to settle the score. Dre and his crew end up in a gunfight with the Serbs after one of Dre's guys shoots a Serb in his head. Everyone in Dre's crew ends up dead with only Dre comes out alive with just a shot to his arm, thanks to his childhood boy he used as a body shield to save himself.
Back at Dre's house his baby mama wants them to leave to Vegas now with Heaven. He said nothing would happen to him yet here he is with a gunshot wound in his arm. Dre wouldn't let anyone take away his daughter. After a bit of persuasion from Heaven's mama Dre agrees to move to Vegas with them but he has to get flight money first. Another reason to stay back in New York.
Agent Blanca tries to get 2-Bit and Spanky to talk. She makes the warehouse raid look like Tommy snitched to get them to flip. 2-Bit holds his end, he ain't no snitch. Spanky, on the other hand, gives up something on Tommy. Blanca should look into the murder of a drug dealer named Pancho.
Dre goes to a very unlikely source for money. His mama. Even Dre's mama knows he is a liar and would not fall for one of his lies again. Dre has never checked in or kept in touch with his mama but shows up today with a story of how he has changed and wants to set up a new life for his daughter in Vegas. Dre never took his daughter to see his mama so she doesn't believe his story. She would not give him any money.
Dre heads to the next source for money. Tasha's daycare. He needs her to pay him to keep his mouth shut, threatening to rat Tariq out for selling drugs. Tasha wouldn't fall for that she knows Tariq is dealing for him. Dre makes her believe Ghost gave him the product so she has to corporate. Tell Tariq to see me with my money.
Tariq takes half the money for Dre's weight to him. He would get the rest in a week plus a bonus if he gets him a gun. Dre doesn't intend to be an accessory to murder but would get him the piece if he takes him to Ghost.
Tariq keeps his end of the deal. He takes Dre to meet Ghost in his office. It was quite shocking to see Ghost okay with no blood stain in his shirt so this was hours before Ghost was shot.
In the midst of all that has gone down with Ghost and Tariq, Ghost still has the belief Tariq is his son and he has his back. When Tariq enters with Dre, Ghost goes on to ask him why he is here with their enemy. Tariq claims Dre knows too much about him and he threatened to go to the FEDs if he did not bring him. Tariq steps outside to let Ghost talk with Dre.
Dre knows it was him that set him up for Jason's murder he needs him to pay him off or he would go to the FEDs with what he knows on Tariq. Ghost agrees to get him 250k but he has to go get it first. They would meet in 1hr.
2-Bit and Spanky contemplate who set them up. 2-Bit thinks it is not Tommy if Blanca says it is him then it is not. Spank, on the other hand, thinks Tommy was the only one that knew about the warehouse so who else could have pulled this off? 2-Bit finally realizes it is Dre. He knew about the warehouse too.
Dre heads over to Tate's campaign office. He has information on the St. Patricks in return he needs Tate to get him two new Plates and clean IDs. Dre tells Tate he knows the FEDs want Tariq for the murder of a dirty cop named Raymond Jones. He told them about it.
Dre finally has things in place. He calls his baby mama to get their things packed he was able to get 250K from Ghost he would be home soon. As Dre drops the call the cops arrest him for the murder of Jason. Dre knows it is Ghost again, he sees his car before the cops take him away.
2-Bit and Spanky get moved to another jail after the cops calls them by their government names. Francis and Spotwood. At the new jail cell, 2-bit receives a burner phone and a call from Ghost. Their man would soon be transferred to the same joint with them he needs them to kill Dre tonight he would take care of their families while they are inside. 2-Bit is ready to get the job done. They would have killed Dre a long time ago.
2-Bit and Spank are about to take Dre out when he gets called by the cops.
Blanca stylishly gets Dre to confirm he saw Ghost kill Terry Sliver. She even gives him hints on how Ghost killed Terry. Dre would say that on a stand if she can get him out on bail immediately. Blanca keeps her end of the deal. Dre gets bail pending trial.
2-Bit has to go to his second option to take Dre out. He calls Tommy while Spanky is on the lookout.
2-Bit tells Tommy it was Dre that snitched on them and killed BG but Tommy is not going to get on board after one of them put Pancho's murder on him, they might be setting him up. 2-Bit can't believe Spank snitched.
Dre escapes from the FEDs after he tells them they need to stop for him to take a piss. His next stop is his mama's house. While trying to steal her Jewelry Mama Dre enters with a gun at her son. It turns out Dre stopped coming to see his mama after all he endured from her growing up. His mama would call him a demon all the time even when he took a common candy bar from their neighbor's house. Dre takes the gun from his mother and quotes Luke 6 vs 37 for her. He would never forgive her for all she has done to him. He never took his daughter to see her because he couldn't stand her being around her.
Dre takes the Jewelry box to his girl. That's all his mama had.
They head straight to Tate's office for the plates and IDs. Tate offers him 100k to kill Ghost tonight. He gives him the money and the IDs because if he doesn't do it, he is the only one that has his new identity. Dre would do it, he is paying him to do something he really wants to do.
Back at the car, Dre hands his girl the money and the IDs, Tate wants him to do something he has to do. His girl just wants them to leave, Tate can't rat them out he gave them the plates and IDs. Dre accepts but turns the car back around. He has to do this.
Dre gets to Truth. Parks his car a block away and walks down. The moment he gets into the door he hears the shot. Dre knocks down Blanca while trying to run.
It's time to escape for Dre and his family. He gets to a traffic stop and sees Tommy a corner way but that's not stopping Dre. Dre stops by a gas station to get some road trip snacks then hears the news Ghost has been murdered at this club. Finally, Ghost is dead all his problems are solved.
The moment Dre starts walking to the car with a teddy in his arm the cops surround Dre.
They process him and put Dre inside. In Jail Dre gets a visit from Tina and Heaven. Tina had no choice but to get his mama. Mama Dre enters and tells her son this is where he belongs but she would take care of Heaven and bring her up the right way. Someone should just shoot Dre, all he fought so hard to prevent just happened.
Dre gets into a fight to avoid being inside with 2-Bit and Spank. He gets sent to solitary for fighting on the first day.
2-Bit and Spank pay Dre a little visit sending him towels soaked with gasoline. Dre try to convince them not to do this, they are boys from way back. They know better than to listen to Dre's lies. 2-Bit and Spank set Dre on fire.
2-Bit gets news Spank has been processed out. He calls Tommy to tell him it was Spank that rat him out.
Spank is at A-USA signing his deal with Blanca. As far as Tommy doesn't find out he is fine with witness protection. Spank lies he has nothing to do with Dre's death at the Manhatten Correctional he is just glad Dre is dead. Blanca is glad to after Dre left her with a black eye at Truth.
Spank sees Blanca talking to Paz at the office.
