Anticipating the Sun - Poem by Psalm Orah
```Oh night, night, nightWhy dost thou linger
The stars are seen quite in thee
And the moon ever lustrously evident
The celestial embodiment ne'er less adored
That mystical glory most felt
Almost deifying is thine presence
And yet man asleep at thine arrival is
The incorruptible serenity conferred in thee
Makes the great eagle of the morn screech
The owls, though aback their necks, hoot at thee
Crickets and frogs chant in rhythm to the universal sway
And even man in his snore responds to the tuneful melody
The entirety of creation conducted
By a Supreme Being who alone exists of Himself
And the winds their recurring whistles blow.
Is it not I only that can appreciate these?
For I am the man who keeps awake
Lying on solid billows
Conscious through the night
Watching as the sky turns golden
Waiting for the morn
Awaiting the East to yield the brightness
That sheds forth charming rays
Then, and only then, is my watch over
But now, I lay.```
